Govconnect is a socially focussed organisation dedicated to assisting the wide range of bodies challenged with delivering the NHS and associated healthcare policy. We seek to ensure that the visions for Health and Care are delivered upon, and all partner organisations have a platform through which they can communicate their visions for future policy direction along with the accompanying implementation strategies and timelines.
Since 2015 through a series of strategic conferences and accompanying digital and social engagement strategies, Govconnect have successfully delivered conferences of this nature. Initially around the five year forward views for Dementia, Mental Health and other leading agendas, working with the most senior Government representatives and leading Healthcare bodies. We are now perfectly positioned and already further assisting in the delivery of the most ambitious models of care ever embarked upon contained within the vision for the NHS Long term Plan.
The NHS Long Term Plan, is a new plan for the NHS to improve the quality of patient care and health outcomes. It sets out how the £20.5 billion budget settlement for the NHS, announced by the Prime Minister in the summer of 2018, will be spent over the next 5 years. The new plan goes further than the previous Five Year Forward Views focus on cancer, mental health, diabetes, multi morbidity and healthy ageing including dementia. It also extends its focus to children health, cardiovascular and respiratory conditions, learning disability, universal personalised care and more. It includes the largest reforms to GP services in 15 years, and will see funding for primary medical and community care increase as a share of the NHS budget for the first time in the health service's 70 year history, with an extra £4.5 billion invested by 2023.
As a condition of receiving Long Term Plan funding, all major national programmes and every local area across England will be required to set out specific measurable goals and mechanisms by which they will contribute to narrowing health inequalities over the next five to ten years. Our conferences and communications will assist in the coordination of the above in the hope that through knowledge transfer, increased understanding and focussed delivery, models of care can be improved upon and a more sustainable NHS system can be designed and maintained.
Govconnect's conferences will seek to have a major impact throughout this period towards ensuring that personalised care, quality of patient experience and a more efficient and effective system is created.
We are in agreement with NHS England, that the future health of millions of children, the sustainability of the NHS, and the economic prosperity of Britain all now depend on a radical upgrade of the NHS with a renewed focus on prevention & public health along with a reshaping of the current care system.
To ensure that we deliver on our pledge we are continuing to work with policy makers, government departments and responsible organisations. Constructing some of the most cutting edge, thought provoking calls to action in current UK Public sector conferences. All of our conferences are created in collaboration with the curators and architects of these unique set of challenges.
As a socially focused organisation we work with a range of local community projects and charity partners on issues linked to our conference topics and themes.
